POSITION: Program Coordinator

We work in more than 20 countries through our 17 permanent country offices and programs across Asia and the Pacific, supported by a headquarters in San Francisco.
The Asia Foundation’s Beijing Representative Office (the Rep Office) seeks a Program Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Country Representative (CR), the Program Coordinator will be responsible for the effective implementation of the Rep Office’s projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in project and grant management, demonstrate strong organizational and coordination skills, and possess excellent English and Chinese communication abilities. Experience in gender & climate, women’s empowerment, and disability inclusion is preferred.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the effective, efficient, and quality implementation of projects, including but not limited to working with partners to develop detailed project management plans, conduct monitoring and evaluation, coordinate with internal and external technical advisors, and ensure timely and impactful project outcomes.
- Develop grant documents and project-related materials, ensuring compliance with donors' and the Foundation's requirements.
- Ensure timely and quality project management, including budget management, expenditure monitoring, and timely report submission to donors.
- Draft concept notes, proposals, and project budgets supporting fund-raising efforts.
- Develop news articles and case studies on projects in both Chinese and English.
- Support CR in stakeholder engagement and representation activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
- Minimum of a Master's degree in relevant fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in development work, with experience in gender and climate, women's empowerment, and disability inclusion preferred.
- Solid experience in program management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs.
- Excellent English and Chinese writing skills and presentation capability.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, and committed to quality outcomes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
