Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian organization that delivers impartial medical care to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from health care in over 70 countries. Department
The Regional Field Human Resources Department of MSF Hong Kong (MSF HK Field HR) is responsible for recruitment, selection, placement, and retainment of qualified and well-suited field workers to meet the growing needs of MSF field operations. We are currently looking for an university student from Mainland China with a passion for, and studying in medicine, nursing, Social Science, e.g., Psychology, Humanitarian Actions, Antropology, Social Work to intern with our team member in Beijing.
Project
The initial part of the assignment will be to actively support four projects:
· Stakeholder mapping and engagement
- Map and connect with medical events, institutes and schools to boost Pediatrician, GAS (Gynecologist, Anesthetist, Surgeon), epidemiologist, pharmacist, nurse in China
· Learning and Development (L&D)
- Organizing/ categorizing internal and external L&D opportunity offers for international mobile staff
· Staff Health Unit
- Referral/ Stakeholder Mapping
Tasks
Tasks will depend upon agreement between Field HR and the Intern.
They may include:
· Understand China market and compare with the requirement from MSF
· Conduct research on medical universities/institute in China – list out contact details
· Research on possible job fair/exhibition
· Possiblely represent MSF to participate in events/ conferences
· Bring new brilliant ideas in MSF recruitment in China
· Map the internal and external L&D opportunities
· List the health facilities in China for staff health-check and vaccination
Qualifications
The student must be enrolled in a Bachelor or Master of Medicine, nursing, Social Science, e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Antrology, Humanitarian Actions program at an accredited university. Be fluent in English and Chinese.
