





Position A: China Country Team Analyst Intern
Location: Mainland China / Remote
Duration: 6 months, starting in September/October 2024
Number of Openings: 4 part-time; 1 full-time
Type: Full-time/Part-time Internship
Position Overview:
The Intern will work closely with CHAI’s China Program Officers, Associates or Analysts to provide analytical support for a range of cooperation projects with government entities, corporates and o public and private sector partners in the areas of global health and international development. She/he will be exposed to work from various disease program areas, including but not limited to cancer, maternal and child health, malaria, vaccines,diagnostics, and assistive technology. She/he will engage in various activities related to research, data collection, stakeholder interviews, policy analysis, and financial modeling to provide support to CHAI China team and our partners in developing policy recommendations and business strategies. Depending on the scope and purpose of the specific project, the team will use insights generated to support evidence-based decision-making that may impact government policy, public health system structure and conduct, , and corporate’s market access strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Assist CHAI China country team and relevant global disease program teams to develop and implement project activities as required by specific partnership frameworks, work plans and budgets;
- Assist both public and private sector partners to develop methodologies including tools, processes, key performance/success indicators that are highly relevant and appropriate for analyses, project management and goal fulfillment;
- Lead and/or support data collection, policy research, interviews, industry analysis, financial modeling and report drafting to generate evidence-based policy and business recommendations in strategic scenarios;
- Assist CHAI China with internal and external communications, including planning, creating and managing internal newsletters, updating and maintaining social media presence;
- Provide strategic recommendations for development of new programs, project management, communication and process improvement;
- Other responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current student in business, economics, public health, political sciences, or in a related field
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing in a professional setting). Native Chinese speakers preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Strong analytical background and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills in different cultural settings
- Ability to work independently without extensive structural or operational support
- A strong sense of ownership and responsiveness to emails and messages
- Experience working and living in China preferred
- Past internship experience in finance, consulting, policy research or healthcare sector is a plus
- Experience working and living in low-income countries or resource-limited settings is a plus
- Genuine enthusiasm in public health and international development is a plus

Position B: China Country Team Media Intern
Location: Mainland China / Remote

- 协助运营和维护CHAI中国社交账号,包括内容及新闻稿的撰写、编辑,排版和发布。
- 协助项目团队编辑、优化、完善各类专业报告及文书。
- 支持全球健康专业领域专家采访类(远程)视频的策划、制作和剪辑。
- 研究媒体趋势并提供内容建议。
- 负责活动文案创作和活动策划。
- 根据需要支持传播与媒体材料的翻译和本地化工作。
- 履行其他传播和倡导相关工作。
- 资格要求:
- 相关领域学士、硕士或博士在校生(传媒、媒体研究、传播、语言类或新闻学等相关专业优先)。
- 熟练的英文阅读和理解能力,有扎实中文功底。可根据要求撰写中英文稿件,可基于中英文语境和表达需求进行英译中文稿等。
- 有新媒体内容维护及运营经验,对各类社交媒体平台有较深入的操作经验。
- 具备良好的沟通和人际交往能力。
- 能够独立工作并有效管理时间。
- 能够在有限运营支持的情况下远程独立工作。
- 对公共卫生和国际发展具有真正的热情者优先考虑。
