What We Can Achieve Together:
Fishery Project Specialist develops, manages and advances fishery
policy programs, plans and methods for distance water fisheries and seafood
traceability and transparency. The Specialist provides technical leadership and
support to a business unit or Division by planning, directing and implementing
fishery policy projects. They address
critical barriers to combat IUU fishing. They develop and implement
conservation strategies, employ a full range of protection tools to acquire
varying degrees of legal interest in fishery and implements a variety of
strategies to secure public and private support for TNC conservation
priorities.

joining the team of TNC China.
Please note
this is a grant-based position which is financially supported by a 2- year grant. The position may be terminated when the grant is completed unless
new strategic opportunities emerge.
What You’ll Bring:
· BA/BS
degree, 5 years’ experience in domestic and international fishery policies or
related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Experience
negotiating complex agreements.
· Experience
of managing grants including making workplans, implementing according to
timelines, reporting and communicating with relevant stakeholders, convening
workshops, and managing contracts.Experience in identifying and establishing
partnerships with important stakeholders
· Experience
communicating with the public and/or media both in writing and verbally.
· Experience
using applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Web Browsers.
· Fluent in Chinese and English both in writing and
verbally
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
·
国际国内渔业政策,海洋自然资源管理类专业硕士及以上学历,三年以上工作经历。
Master
degree, 3 years’ experience in domestic and international fishery policies or marine
natural resource management or related field or equivalent combination of
education and experience.

有参加大型多方国际会议经验,并能够向技术或者非技术的听众讲解项目内容
·
Experienced in attending
international multilateral conference and ability to explain policy research to
technical and non-technical audiences
·
有团队精神,乐于分享,能够与他人密切配合、实现共同目标
As a member of the team, be able to share with
others and contribute to the whole team, and support the team’s goal.

Have
excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills and the ability
to work closely and effectively with a variety of partners, i.e., media,
government officials, internal scientists.

Be
able to manage multiple projects activities with dynamic schedules and

Knowledge and experience of designing and operating
conservation projects are required. It includes: to prepare and draft proposal,
reports and relevant documents, make and follow up budgets, cooperate with
internal and external partners to implement the work plan and activities, etc.
