欢迎对此次研讨会感兴趣的北京地区的组织写信至lily@chinadevelopmentbrief.cn申请。

Invitation to Environmental NGOs to Participate in Workshop on Public Enquiries

China Development Brief and the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs are working together to publish a short manual/resource book to help Chinese environmental NGOs participate more effectively in public enquiries. In order to start this process, we are convening a day-long consultation meeting on Wednesday, April 26.

The morning will be spent listening to presentations by invited, expert guests. The afternoon will be devoted to a facilitated discussion, involving only the Chinese NGOs, so that we can listen to the points they raise, in order to tailor the final publication to their needs.

We are directly inviting three organisations from outside of Beijing to send two delegates each to this meeting. We also have places for seven, Beijing-based groups (two delegates each). These places will be given to the first seven organisations to indicate their interest, in writing, to lily@chinadevelopmentbrief.cn. This is not a “training workshop,” but we do believe that it will be of use and interest to the organisations who participate, and an important way of making sure that we finally publish a product that is of use and value to the Chinese environmental community and the general public.
