Those equipment will be delivered and installed in Fuzhuang Township, Hanyuan County, help to keep fresh for agricultural products, and then increase small holder farmer’s income via added value of products. 国际美慈组织将为“加速雅安受灾农村社区经济恢复项目” 采购一套果蔬冷库和气调库设备，该设备将安装在雅安市汉源县富庄镇，果蔬冷库和气调设备将帮助当地小农户种植的优质农产品增强保鲜能力从而提高产品的市场价值，最终达到小农户增收的目的。 Program Background 项目背景 The impact of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Ya’an, Sichuan Province on April 20, 2013 has been devastating. Farming represents a critical economic sector in Ya’an that has been heavily disrupted in the aftermath of the earthquake. Mercy Corps (MC) and China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA), worked together and providing recovery assistance beyond the immediate relief response by revitalizing livelihoods and promoting economic recovery in earthquake affected communities through empowering smallholder farmers and rural entrepreneurs while strengthening market linkages. After previous market analysis, we identified the systemic constraint for small holder farmers (SHFs) in rural Ya’an is lacking access to high value market, so we launched e-commerce activities for Kiwi & other fruits such as cherry.
