Join a Spark:Her Academy “Women at the forefront of Climate Change”!
The growth of China’s economic development has come at a high environmental price, for example resulting in air and water pollution and the increase in carbon emissions. Women are the most likely to suffer from climate change, but they are also the most capable of creating change and adaptation within their communities: as they make the majority of purchasing decision for their household and manage the household resources they make incremental decisions that can make a significant impact on the environment.
To spark innovations and encourage social entrepreneurship in the field, we are hosting s Spark:Her Academy focusing on building ideas and ventures on how to encourage more women to get involved in climate change and environmental actions.
Who should attend?
You might have 10 different ideas how to improve environmental issues or tackle climate change in China and don’t know which to choose to start up. Or you have the strong interest in the field but you don’t know yet how yet how to get involved with your skills and expertise.
Why join?
During the Academy local entrepreneurs and experts will provide you with an in-depth insight into environmental and climate change challenges across China as well as potential solutions. Through experiential learning you will equip yourself with the confidence, skills and community to act upon your passion for education and most importantly, you will apply your new knowledge and skills by generating a solution to an environmental challenge.
