Village People Project Ltd. (VPP) is a charity registered in Hong Kong with a mission to improve the wellbeing of women and children in rural China. VPP’s key initiative is the eco-bathhouse project. VPP has built four bathhouses in Shaanxi province operated by local social entrepreneurs.

Village People Project Ltd. (VPP) 是一家在香港注册的公益机构，旨在为中国农村的妇女儿童提升福祉。VPP的重点行动是生态浴室项目。VPP已在陕西修建了四个澡堂，并由村里的社会企业家来负责运营。

VPP is working on a new bathhouse project in Gansu province to develop a prototype for bath houses suitable for smaller villages in more remote areas. In addition to efficient use of power, the new bathhouse attempts to recycle as much of the waste water from bathing as possible for irrigation or other uses. VPP is seeking a water recycling solutions that is affordable and feasible in a rural mountainous area.

目前，VPP正准备在甘肃开展新的浴室项目，并希望这一项目可以成为更偏远的人口稀少的农村适用的模版。除了更有效的使用电力，新的浴室希望尽可能将浴室的废水循环利用于灌溉或者其它用途。为此，VPP正在寻找一套合适的水循环处理方案：成本低、适用于偏远山地。

• Location: Shijiezi village, Yebao township, Qin’an county, Tianshui, Gansu province

• Population: 80

• Income Level: Average annual per capita income nearly RMB 1,200

• Geography: Mountainous area. Maximum temperature in winter -12 degree, summer 32 degree.

• Water is scarce: Household water supply depends on rainwater stored by each household.
