Asia Catalyst is a nonprofit organization that provides training in organizational management to grassroots organizations in Asia working in the field of health. In addition to providing a strong foundation in management, we also provide training in community research and advocacy. We primarily partner with organizations from marginalized communities, including people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. We also work with other vulnerable populations, including people living with Hepatitis, victims of environmental pollution, women and children, disabled persons, migrant workers and others.

Asia Catalyst is now accepting applications from nonprofit grassroots organizations in China working on health rights for the second year of our NGO Leadership Cohort Program. The NGO Leadership Cohort is an intensive one-year capacity-building program aimed at building skills in organizational management through hands-on workshops, peer support and individualized coaching.

亚洲促进会现正在接受中国非营利性的健康权益草根组织就我们的中国非政府组织发展能力团队培训的第二学年所提出申请。非政府组织发展能力团队培训是为期一年的密集型培训项目，旨在通过培训过程中的实际操作，学员的相互合作以及个别的辅导增强组织或机构的管理技能。

 

 

The course will cover the following skills:

•  Strategic planning

•  Organizational budgeting

•  Staff and volunteer management

•  Fundraising basics

•  Working with authorities to improve policy implementation

课程将包括以下几个方面：

•  战略规划

•  机构预算编制

•  工作人员和志愿者管理

•  筹款的基本知识和方法

•  与政府机构和部门合作以促进政策的执行和实施

 

Asia Catalyst will select a cohort of ten organizations to participate in one year of quarterly trainings. Each weekend training session will cover a new area of management skills and will review lessons from the previous training. In between the quarterly training sessions, cohort participants will provide support and feedback to one another as they complete homework assignments to practice using their skills. Asia Catalyst will provide additional one-on-one coaching to each participant through email and phone conferences.

亚洲促进会将挑选10 个组织参加一年中每季度一次的团队培训。每次培训都将于周末举行，内容将涵盖一个关于管理技能的新领域，并回顾、复习以前的培训课程。为了进一步演练所学知识和技能，在每期培训之间，受训学员将通过互相协助和交流的方式完成课后活动。亚洲促进将会通过电子邮件和电话向学员提供一对一的额外辅导。

At the end of the year, some participants will have the opportunity to participate in the third year’s cohort in order to become certified as cohort trainers themselves.

培训结束前，感兴趣的学员有机会参加第三年的团队培训，并成为亚洲促进会授权的培训人员。

 

Eligibility Requirements

资格要求

All grassroots nonprofit organizations in China that work in the area of health rights are eligible to apply. We will give preference to community-based organizations in which directors or staff are either living with or directly affected by the health issue on which the group works.

所有从事健康权益领域工作的中国非营利草根组织都有申请的资格。若组织中的员工或负责人来自于受影响人群，我们将优先考虑。

 

Minimum requirements for each participant organization are:

•  A core team of staff and volunteers;

•  In existence between 2-10 years;

•  Some fundraising ability;

•  Some advocacy experience;

•  Ability to identify organizational strengths and weaknesses;

•  Willingness to change current organizational management practices; and

•  Ability to participate in the full training cycle.

申请组织或机构的基本要求：

•  一个由工作人员和志愿者组成的核心团队

•  组织成立2-10年之久

•  具备一定的筹款能力

•  具有一定的倡导经验

•  能够鉴别组织的长处和不足之处

•  愿意改善组织现有的管理做法

•  能够参与整个培训周期

 

Please note that for this program Asia Catalyst will only provide travel, accommodation, per diems and training materials for one senior staff of each participant organization to attend all four training session. This program does not provide any other grant funds or compensation.

需要提醒的是，亚洲促进会仅向每个参加本项目全部四期课程的组织中一名资深员工提供差旅，住宿，每日补贴和培训材料。这项活动不再提供任何其他资金补助或补偿。

 

Selection Process

Interested groups should fill out and email the application form in Chinese or English to

info@asiacatalyst.org by July 23, 2012. The application form is attached and is also available online at http://www.asiacatalyst.org/zhong_wen.

Based on a first review of the application, Asia Catalyst will schedule follow-up interviews to gain in-depth knowledge of the organization’s management practices and program work. All information gathered in this process will remain strictly confidential. We will announce our final selection of ten participant organizations in October 2012. The first workshop will take place in November 2012.

在对提交的申请表进行第一轮评选后，亚洲促进会将安排进一步的访谈以便更深入地了解提交申请的组织或机构在管理和项目工作方面的情况。在这个过程中所收集的所有信息将严格地予以保密。我们将于2012年10 月公布最后入选培训的十个组织或机构。第一期培训将于2012年11 月举行。

 

Please note that organizations can only apply for the full NGO Leadership Cohort

training cycle and it is not possible to apply for single workshops. Once an organization has been selected to participate, attendance at all four quarterly trainings and participation in peer support and follow-up coaching is mandatory.

需要注意的是，提出申请的组织或机构须申请参与整个非政府组织发展能力团队培训而不是仅仅参加其中的某项单个课程。如果一个组织或机构被选中参加培训，该组织须参与全部四个季度培训以及学员相互协助以及后续辅导等活动。
