Drama, a very public space

讲座内容：

我们正生活在一个深刻而快速的变革中，这种变革是政治的，经济的，社会化和生态化的。本讲座将会探寻剧场和戏剧在这个不断变化的世界中的角色，戏剧的意义及自我与社会的关系。我们分享和创造的价值将会决定我们将如何面对当下的现实，并且准备好我们自己，特别是年轻人迎接未来。我们将如何应对这个挑战？让我们的戏剧成为一个公共空间，去戏剧化和分享我们的故事将会是一个开始，因为一个从未讲述故事的只会成为一个躯壳。

We are living in a period of profound and rapid social, political, economic and ecological change. This lecture will explore the role of theatre and drama in this ever changing world, the meaning of drama, and the relationship between ‘self’ and society’. The values that we share and create together will determine how we face contemporary reality and prepare ourselves, particularly young people, for the future. How can we meet this challenge? We can begin by making our theatre a public space to dramatise and share our stories – for a child that never tells stories will just be a human shell.

Lecturer: Chris Cooper

克里斯 库佩来自英国。在2008至2010年期间，克里斯作为欧洲DICE项目的英国负责人，参与了欧盟教育委员会针对教育性戏剧帮助达成儿童六大关键能力影响与研究，主编了《Making the World of Difference》一书，并参与了介绍DICE项目研究成果的《The DICE has been Cast》一书的编辑工作。克里斯 库佩先生于1986年以优异成绩毕业于Newcastle的诺桑比亚大学创作及表演艺术专业。1988至1995年期间，克里斯在Dukes TiE剧团参演了超过20个新的TiE剧目，活跃在英国国家教育剧场协会，同时任青少年戏剧常务会议的理事、秘书长和主席等职务。1990至1998年他加入了关注DiE和TiE理论实践刊物——SCYPT期刊的编辑委员会。自1999年开始，克里斯接任了英国著名的TiE剧团“大伯明翰”的艺术总监，目前已创作了28个新的教育剧场剧目，其中十几部是为3到21岁的青少年开发的

剧目。从1995年起，“大伯明翰”剧团和英国在世的最伟大的剧作家爱德华.邦德（Edward Bond 1934— ）长期合作。邦德在全世界60个不同国家中上演的47个剧目中，有7部都是和“大伯明翰”合作的。克里斯在其中6部剧目中出演或导演。2005年在大卫.戴维斯教授（David Davis）编辑的《爱德华邦德与戏剧儿童》（Edward Bond and the Dramatic Child）中写作了主要章节，讲述克里斯与邦德的合作。2009年起，成为中国抓马宝贝英式创意学校的教学督导。

Chris Cooper

Mr. Chris Cooper comes from England. From 2008-2010, Chris was a UK project leader of the DICE Project which researched the impact of dramatic activities on children’s educational and social competencies; editing a book Making the World of Difference, and contributing to another on the research finding, The DICE has been Cast. Mr. Cooper graduated with honors from Creative and Performing Arts at the University of Northumbria, Newcastle in 1986. From 1988 to 1995, Chris performed in over 20 new TiE programmes at the Dukes, was an active member of the TiE national association and the Standing Conference of Young Peoples Theatre (SCYPT) as a national committee member, Chair and National Secretary. From 1990 to 1998 he was also on the editorial committee of the SCYPT Journal, a journal of theory and practice in the fields of TiE and DiE. From 1999 until now, he became the Artistic Director of Big Brum. Since then Chris has directed 28 new TiE Programmes and dozens of special projects for young people aged 3 to 21 years old for the company as well as community projects for children and adults that have toured the west midlands, nationally and internationally. Since 1995 Big Brum has been working in collaboration with Britain’s greatest living playwright Edward Bond. Bond who has written 47 plays that have been performed in over 60 different countries has written 7 new plays for the Big Brum. Chris has either performed in or directed 6 of them and has developed a close working relationship with him. In 2005 Chris contributed a major chapter on Bond’s Big Brum plays in a new book edited by David Davis, Edward Bond and the Dramatic Child. In 2009 Chris was honoured to become teaching supervisor of Drama Rainbow in China.
