Campaigner - The Role
We are searching for a Campaigner who will be able to Support the implementation and tactical delivery of the Wildlife not Medicine campaign in China. The successful candidate will help manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders to support the campaign.
Working with our supporters, we are challenging major corporations, governments and other influencers to champion a happier, healthier and kinder world. We want to catalyse the greatest change for the greatest number of animals possible.
Backed by a global team of passionate experts working across multiple specialties – from campaigning and communications to corporate engagement and animal welfare science – this fantastic position will work closely with our China office to make positive changes for wild aniamals.
This will involve leading local delivery of corporate engagement and providing support for local campaign manager ensuring they contribute to global objectives, that work is on brand, on time and within budget as well as monitoring performance against objectives and reporting on effectiveness.
You will work closely with the Integrated Campaign Team to support local campaign delivery and help to promote a culture of high-impact campaigning to increase our impact, influence and profile. As a proficient communicator, you will develop relationships with external stakeholders, experts and key audiences to further our campaign objectives and to secure a lasting impact for wildlife across the world.
Requirements
A great passion for animal protection, especially relating to wild animals.
At least 5 years of working experience in campaign and advocacy positions.
Strong interpersonal, networking and organisational skills
Strong ability to deliver specific outcomes on time and within the budget
Ability to work unsupervised in a rapidly changing and high pressure environment.
Proven track record of building and maintaining positive relationships with diverse external stakeholders in order to create change
Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Mandarin and English including the capacity to relate to both internal and external parties
Flexible to participate in global calls outside of office hours when necessary
Team player with project delivery skills and ability to develop and maintain good working relationships within teams.
Flexible to travel locally and internationally.
IT/computer literate using Microsoft packages, e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
